Fighting Gully Road Aglianico 2018
Perched on a narrow terrace above the junction of two small streams, the small staked vineyard of only 1450 Aglianico vines has commanding views down the Ovens valley. The position, an ancient camping place of the Jaitmatang tribe, produces grapes that have no greater expression of their place. The individually staked vines exist with little intervention from man – no irrigation, fertilising or canopy manipulation; just a few judicious hands during pruning & harvesting. The wine was made with minimal intervention to capture the essence of variety and place.
