Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino is ruby red in colour. Complex on the nose with balsamic hints of menthol and cloves that lead over to fruity aromas of cherries, plums, dates,and notes of cinnamon. A soft and balanced entry on the palate is silky smooth, characterised by soft tannins and sustained by exceptional freshness. Flavours linger on the finish with aromas of vanilla and light hints of violets, typical of Sangiovese.

Acquired by the Marchesi Antinori family in 1995, the Pian Delle Vigne estate is located 6km to the South of the town of Montalcino and consists of 184 hectares of land of which 65 are planted with vines and the remainder with olive groves and woodland. The stony, clay and limestone soils are planted entirely too various Sangiovese clones on elevations between 180 and 250 metres above sea level. Two stunning wines are produced at the estate the Pian Delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and the Pian Delle Vigne Vigna Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, beautifully rich, balanced wines, true to their terroir and superb drinking.
