Tommasi Amarone Classico DOCG 2019
Corvina 50%, Corvinone 30%, Rondinella 15%, Oseleta 5%.
This classic Amarone is the result of meticulous craftsmanship, beginning with hand-harvested and carefully selected grapes, followed by a traditional drying period of around three months in well-ventilated lofts. After a slow fermentation lasting 25 days in stainless steel at 25–30°C, the wine matures for three years in large 35 and 65 hL Slavonian oak casks, developing depth, complexity and elegance.
Deep, intense ruby red in the glass, it opens with pure, vibrant aromas of ripe cherry, black cherry and wild berries, woven with lifted notes of spice and a touch of freshness. The bouquet is both expressive and refined, hinting at the richness to come.
On the palate, it is dry yet caressing, with a supple, full-bodied texture that envelops the senses. Beautifully balanced, it offers a seamless interplay of acidity and fine tannins, giving structure and poise. A refined tannic backbone carries the wine to a long, persistent finish, accented by lingering red fruit and subtle spice.
Elegant yet powerful, this Amarone is a natural match for game, slow-cooked red meats, or aged cheeses—but it’s equally suited to quiet contemplation and long, memorable conversations. A true expression of Valpolicella Classico at its most poised and dignified.
